PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

The Captains Club is a private boat club operated out of the Marina at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Our members gain access to a fleet of high-end boats, without the hassle and cost of typical boat ownership while enjoying concierge-style service from our dedicated crew.

As we head into the 2026 season, Captains Club continues to grow and evolve. We are looking for a crew that is excited to serve our members and help deliver the exceptional, luxury boating experience that defines The Captains Club.

Dock attendants will facilitate member outings, efficiently communicate with members and other staff, and act as an advocate for The Captains Club.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

DAILY TASKS:

Set up Captains Club stand
Review “Todays Reservations” within reservation software
Detail and prepare boats for “Todays Reservations”
Conduct thorough boat inspections and safety equipment inspections
Prepare all requested food and beverage items before members arrival and have it stocked on the boat
Check members in and out for their reservation within reservation software
Track and manage damage or incidents as they arise
Assist members in boarding boats and departing from dock
Provide safety speech and operational review of boats for each outing
Assist members in returning to dock and deboarding boats
Be available to act as a concierge for our members and willing to go above and beyond to create unique experiences
Fuel boats and detail after each outing
Communicate with members on boat availability
Promote and enforce all club rules and regulations

The Boat Club Manager oversees all aspects of the Boat Club, Lounge and Tiki. They are also responsible for all aspects of supervision of the staff including hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and reviewing staff.

A work week of 50 hours per week can be expected, however it can be more or less depending on the business needs of the Food and Beverage operation. Working evenings, weekends and holidays is required. The Restaurant Manager will typically be available during peak seasons, typically taking PTO and vacations during slower seasons. Typically, PTO will not be allowed during June 15 - September 15, and December 15 – January 5.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the General Manager based upon the requirements of the company.

A Houseman is responsible for the cleanliness of common areas in front and back of house, as well as the restocking and cleaning of restrooms both in the front and back of house. They also respond to radio calls from the front office and housekeeping team to deliver amenities to rooms (In room amenities, fresh linens, extra pillows, blankets, hangers, robes, slippers, etc).

Responsible for cleaning the Spa every evening after closure.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

A Dock Attendant plays a key role in the operation of the Marina Department of The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Our ideal candidate will use their experience and knowledge of marina and boating operations to maintain all vessels, equipment, and infrastructures to advance the customer experience of Lodge guests. The Marina Attendant will participate in daily operations with efficiency, integrity, patience, awareness, and compassion. They will play a large role in communication, development, and problem resolution all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. They will act as an advocate for the marina, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.

A Shack Attendant will be responsible for managing boat schedules, answering emails, picking up phones, cashiering, and checking in guests for boat rentals.

Monitor and control staff performance via regular communication with the team as well as the annual performance review program
When requested or anticipated, provide information on Lodge, meeting functions, dining facilities, and local visitor and tourist attractions. If unable to provide the required assistance, seek out and refer to another resource and follow up for successful completion
Assist in ensuring guest and co-worker safety and security by reporting any suspicious or unusual behavior to Security and the Resort Manager
Implement new policies and procedures as needed

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and disciplining staff.
- Supervise the floor during meal periods to ensure that all standards and steps of service are met through all guest interactions.
- Ensuring that checklists, requisitions, and proper opening and closing functions are completed each shift.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear directions to the staff.
- Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
- Ensure staffing levels for the restaurant and bar are accurate based on hotel occupancy and outlet business levels. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, i.e. Specials, 86’d items, groups in-house, reservations, etc.
- Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of the guests. Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate, and document reservations.
- Move throughout the facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance, taste of products, and check preparation methods to determine quality.
- Attending all mandatory meetings including but not limited to weekly F&B meetings, staff meetings, and training. Pre shifts, etc.
- Utilize computer/POS to input and retrieve necessary data to accurately monitor labor cost.
- Maintain cleanliness of outlets daily.
- Work closely with Outlet Manager and Bar Manager in monthly beverage inventory and quarterly china/glass/silver/linen inventory.
- Assist in planning and setting up special events such as Mother’s Day, Easter, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.
- Solid beverage experience to include wine knowledge, experience with menu costing, design, and analysis.
- Must have experience with wine ordering and maintaining par levels.
- Assist with ordering and inventory processes to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain cost-effective purchasing aligned with operational needs.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

- Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including food, beverage, supervisory, service techniques and guest interaction.
- Considerable skill in math and determining percentages associated with beverage cost, food cost, labor cost, budget, and forecasting.

JOB DUTIES:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Culinary Director, preferably leading large, fast-paced, multi-outlet kitchens.
Passionate about industry trends and techniques and knowledgeable of product, presentation, quality, and preparation, menu concept, design, food costing, and people management.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster positive working relationships with all teammates.
Able to work with PR and Marketing in the creation of campaigns and budgets.

Food Handler Certification.
